2011: What A Year!!!

I know it’s been a minute since I blogged here. And that’s within reason. I didn’t have a computer. Until a few days ago when I finally got a laptop and a camera for Christmas. So now, I get to do my second love which is update my business and blog about well, natural living. Hooray!!!

But this past year, has been a lot of firsts even for me and very eventful. I did my first major event at the Baltimore Natural hair show in March, DC Love Locs, Handmade Mart in Silver Spring, Happy Nappy Day over the summer, and hustled my butt off at the farmer’s market in Downtown Baltimore. I got my name, Green Afro Diva trademarked, so no biting! Green Afro Diva is now a limited liability company(LLC). More products such as hair care and some new fragrances have been introduced to the masses. And I have been featured in numerous publications, even on YouTube. So, it has been a great year, and all I can say is that thru the hard work I’ve been putting in, even while having to take a break for a minute to focus on my studies, it has been all worth it.

One thing that I do want to improve on is to keep in touch with my customer base and expand. As of late, that;s been difficult to do, because of a lack of a computer and focusing on completing my degree. But now that I have my laptop, it should be much easier for me to network, find events in and around the dc area, and most importantly, focus on YOU, the customer. So with that said, 2012 will definitely be even bigger and better with more shows, more giveaways, and more face time with me. And I’ll finally be graduating with a degree in Business and Finance this summer
